White Mourvèdre
Mourvèdre is thick-skinned red grape native to the eastern Mediterranean coast of Spain, prized for producing deeply colored, powerfully tannic, gamey, and age-worthy wines. Our winemaking has often experimented with producing white wines from red grapes by reducing skin contact on hand picked fruit. This Mourvedre, hailing from the organic Desert Willow vineyard, was picked and pressed gently, giving the final wine a brilliant straw color hue.
Suggested pairings include pork loin with rosemary-pecan pesto, and Provençal ratatouille.
Our 2023 White Mourvedre earned Bronze at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
